‘Cherries’ Room (Ages 6-18 months)
We affectionately call our baby room ‘Cherries’: small, bright and cheerful. Cherries represents innocence, joy and the sweetness of new life much like babies themselves.
The Cherries Room is a calm, comforting, and lovingly designed space for our youngest children. For babies aged 6 to 18 months, the world is full of new discoveries, and our cosy, home-like environment gives them the perfect place to feel safe, supported, and ready to explore.
Learning happens through warm interactions, sensory experiences, and lots of one-to-one attention from our familiar, caring staff. Babies begin developing early communication skills as they listen to soothing voices, respond to songs, enjoy simple stories, and build connections through eye contact, smiles, and babbling.
Physical development is a key focus at this age, so we provide plenty of opportunities for tummy time, crawling, cruising, and early walking, supported by soft play equipment and safe spaces to move freely. Fine motor skills grow through exploring textures, grasping toys, stacking, and engaging in gentle sensory play.
Babies also begin to understand routines which develops a sense of security. Even our little ones begin learning independence, tidying up toys and helping with their daily routines. Our Cherries staff follow each child’s natural rhythm, naps, feeding, and play providing comfort, cuddles, and reassurance throughout the day. This nurturing approach helps babies build strong attachments and confidence in their surroundings. Through sensory exploration, warm relationships, and a peaceful environment, the Cherries Room offers a beautiful beginning to each child’s early learning journey supporting their growth, curiosity, and emotional wellbeing from the very start.
Apples’ Room (Ages 18 months-3 years)
Our toddlers are as busy and bright as little apples, full of energy and ready to explore! Our ‘Apples’ Room is a vibrant, nurturing space designed especially for our curious and energetic 2–3-year-olds. At this age, children are developing rapidly, and our environment is thoughtfully set up to support their growing independence, confidence, and imagination. Our little ‘Apples’ build confidence and language skills through active play, while learning simple routines that prepare them for preschool.
In the ‘Apples’ Room, children learn through play-rich experiences that build essential early skills. They begin to develop stronger language and communication, using new words, expressing their needs, and engaging in simple conversations with familiar adults and friends. Through activities like puzzles, sorting, and early mark-making, children strengthen their thinking and early maths skills, learning to count, compare, and recognise shapes in the world around them.
This age is also an important stage for social development. Our little ‘Apples’ start forming friendships, learning to share, take turns, and understand their own emotions. Our caring staff gently guide them through these new experiences, helping them build confidence and empathy.
Physical development is supported through climbing, dancing, exploring outdoor play, and practicing fine motor skills with creative activities like painting, and building.
With cosy areas for quiet moments, inviting spaces for exploration, and supportive staff always nearby, the ‘Apples’ Room offers the perfect balance of comfort, challenge, and fun helping each child grow into the next stage of their learning journey with joy and confidence.
‘Pomegranates’ Room (Ages 3-4 years)
Like a pomegranate full of seeds, our preschoolers are bursting with potential. The ‘Pomegranates’ Room is a lively, enriching, and inspiring environment created for our confident and imaginative 3-4 year-olds. At this age, children are developing important skills that prepare them for school and the next steps in their learning journey, and our room is thoughtfully designed to support every aspect of their growth.
In ‘Pomegranates’, our children’s language and communication skills flourish. Our little ‘Poms’ enjoy conversations with friends, take part in group activities, listen to longer stories, and begin to express their ideas, feelings, and experiences with growing confidence.
Early literacy and maths skills are introduced through playful, hands-on activities. Children are taught phonics, explore mark-making, practise counting, identify shapes, and solve simple problems through fun, meaningful activities that spark curiosity.
Their social and emotional development is a central focus. Our little ‘Poms’ learn to understand and manage emotions, build strong friendships, cooperate with peers, take turns, and resolve small conflicts with support from sensitive staff. They also develop independence by putting on their coats, serving food, and making choices about their play. Physical skills continue to grow through climbing, jumping, balancing, dancing, and outdoor exploration, as well as fine motor activities like drawing, building, and early writing.
Creative thinking blossoms through music, imaginative play, arts and crafts, and role play, where children express themselves freely and confidently. In the ‘Pomegranates’ Room, we provide a rich, stimulating environment filled with opportunities to learn, explore, and lead their own play. With our supportive staff guiding our little ‘Poms’ each day, our children develop the confidence, independence, and enthusiasm they need as they move toward school readiness and the next exciting stage of their journey.
